Professor Timmons comments on final submission: "Exceptional and excellent work -- in both thinking and writing this is, arguably, one of the best submissions that I will read, and the only reason I qualify the statement is that I am only about four submissions in on about 26 in total. The writing here is especially sharp, effective, clear, and strong -- you make and convey serious and substantive points with highly efficient language, and dexterously present some large, complex ideas about colonialism and the representation of indigenous people. This is also a significant engagement with Greenblatt's ideas and could well be the basis for further work on the play, and/or others from the period that traffic in such representations. I would urge you to use this as the basis for further work and consideration of the issues you discuss here. There are a few -- very few -- errors here and in itself this is striking, given how much you write and how comprehensive you aim to be in a short submission. Do note the "stray" punctuation, the sentence fragment, and the missing italics on the title in your title. I'm greatly impressed, and quite happy to see such striking work. Do let me know what your plans are for your degree, as I certainly hope they involve continued thinking and writing of this quality. Nicely done!"
